Inspired (humbly) by Hiroshige, this triptych tells the tale of Sadina breaking free — slipping out of her sardine tin like a rebellious fish who’s had enough of cramped spaces, ready to explore the wide, wide world beyond the lid.

Sadina is a girl from Setúbal, not to be confused with sardine from the sea, although they are closely related on the mother’s side.
